Me: the superduper phone is working just fine but when I call my home phone number it doesn’t ring as it should.
BT India (reading from the screen): so what you are saying is that you can’t make or receive any calls?
Me: no that is not what I’m saying. Bye.
I hang up, dial BT again hoping they will pick up in the UK.
BT India: Lisa? How can we help?
Me: well I have this problem…. Explaining again.
BT India: ok I can’t help you with this but I will transfer you to someone that can help you.
After 20 minutes on hold:
BT Scotland: I heard you had a problem with your new phone. Let me take care of it. Abrah kadabrah! It’s now sorted.
Me: thank you nice BT man from Scotland.
